Peer Grief Support for Black Communities
We offer peer-led grief support groups built by and for Black individuals navigating loss.
Service Description
In many Black families, grief is often carried in silence. We offer peer-led grief support groups built by and for Black individuals navigating loss — particularly after violence or systemic injustice. This program is rooted in cultural understanding, community ritual, and collective healing. It creates a safe space to name the pain, honor ancestors, and move toward emotional wellness. Our model includes: Weekly small-group sessions with trained peer facilitators Curriculum focused on grief stages, resilience, and emotional literacy Integration of spiritual healing, ritual, and storytelling Special focus on grieving mothers, youth, and community leaders We believe grief can be a gateway to healing — and that no one should have to carry it alone.
